6 more days to shop!

If I'm going to get my shopping done by Thanksgiving I'd better get it together. Luckily I have a chance to shop on Sunday. So, I'll get uber organized and bang it out. The house cleaning project hasn't been going so well. I've gotten very busy at work in the last couple of weeks and have neglected the house. It's not dirty or messy, just not scrubbed and perfect how I wanted it to be. Oh well, I'll get the family involved in cleaning this weekend and we'll get it good enough for the Thanksgiving crowd.

Shopping started, kind of

I made a list of things I'd like to buy for people or stores to go to for ideas. Today I drove around and went to a couple of stores. When I got there I either didn't find anything that I wanted or they were out of stock. I've decided to buy some things from REI and have them shipped to the store. That way I don't have to pay shipping charges. And, I'll get a big ole dividend at the end of the year!
I also found a few things to decorate my Thanksgiving table. Some fake pumpkins, ribbon, etc. I'm going with a natural theme with ivory, shades of brown and some lavender. Should be different. I'll take a picture of the table when it's done.
On the house cleaning goal...I did clean a real trouble area...my craft room. It tends to be a catch all area. So I purged and got a nice pile for Goodwill. And, now I can paint!

New challenge for November

OK, this might sound like a weird challenge, but it's what I need to do. I want to get all of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving and also clean my house (what we call "big cleaning") by then too.
So, the plan is this. Write a list of people to buy for and ideas. Write a list of chores to do. Chip away at both lists. Set a time goal for cleaning for each day.
